The University of Texas at Dallas (UTD) was founded as a scientific research institute in 1962 by a bold group of innovators and entrepreneurs who also founded the company that invented the integrated circuit and changed the world. In 1969 the University joined the University of Texas System. In 1990 the University began admitting lower division students and has ever since had one of the most distinguished, ambitious freshman classes in the State of Texas.
The University of Texas at Dallas is committed to graduating well-rounded citizens whose education has prepared them for rewarding lives and productive careers in a constantly changing world; to continually improving educational and research programs in the arts and sciences, engineering, and management; and to assisting the commercialization of intellectual capital generated by students, staff, and faculty.
DNMF has supported a variety of initiatives at UT Dallas since 1999.
