The Stewpot

Dallas, TX

Established by First Presbyterian Church in 1975, The Stewpot began serving food when church members realized no other resources were available for the homeless and hungry. The Stewpot serves 1,500-2,000 meals per day, 7 days per week at The Bridge, Dallas’ homeless assistance center, and other Stewpot services include case management, health care, job training, and social activities such as art classes and talent shows.

The Stewpot offers a safe haven for homeless and at-risk individuals of Dallas, providing resources for basic survival needs as well as opportunities to start a new life.

The David Nathan Meyerson Foundation has supported a variety of Stewpot initiatives since 1999.
