Tel Aviv, Israel
Gideon Ben-Ami is the former owner and manager of a successful restaurant chain in Miami and Israel. Gideon achieved much in business, but he feels that he has done his best work in his new career of service to Tel Aviv residents in difficult circumstances, including immigrants to Israel and those struggling with homelessness. He has traded the status of entrepreneur for the role of shaliach, which is Hebrew for “messenger.” The David Nathan Meyerson Foundation is inspired to learn from Gideon about the many people he reaches.
The DNMF often partners with The Good People Fund to support Gideon’s work.
